The freestanding, three-season Retreat 40 is designed with three poles including a unique top-arching pole which helps increase your living space and headroom. Took this on a 3-day hike and it performed flawlessly. Waterproof floor and decent airflow made sleeping comfortable. Weighs less than expected and fits neatly in my pack. One of the better 2-person tents I've used – durable, practical, and thoughtfully designed for real trail conditions.

Just took the Retreat 40 2 Person Tent on a weekend backpacking trip and it killed it! Super lightweight but still felt solid in windy conditions. Packed down small enough to barely notice in my pack—perfect for solo or couples hiking. Setup was a breeze, even with cold hands. Definitely my go-to tent now. 10/10 would recommend for any minimalist adventurer.

It's a good tent overall—sturdy poles and decent ventilation. But I wish the vestibule was a bit larger. Fits two people, but gear storage gets tight. Still, worth the price for weekend trips.

I've used this tent in a few different weather conditions now, including some windy nights, and it's performed really well. Poles feel strong, zippers are smooth, and the rainfly does its job. Interior has good pockets and hanging loops. It’s become our go-to 2-person shelter for every trip. Super happy with the purchase and would buy again without hesitation.
